Bridgeport Theatre Company, now in residence at Downtown Cabaret Theatre presents the award-winning classic The Music Man.

May 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 @ 8pm; Mar 6, 13, & 20 @ 5pm.

About the play:
Meredith Willson's The Music Man, set in the Iowa of 1912, tells the wholesome and explicitly moral story of a charismatic con man, Professor Harold Hill, the fast-talking salesman of musical instruments. He convinces the good folks of River City, Iowa that they need a band.

His plans come to a crashing halt when he falls head-over-heels in love with Marian, the town's uptight librarian.  Gloriously entertaining, it's the perfect musical for the whole family!

How to Buy Tickets & Ticketing Policies

24/7 BOX OFFICE

24/7 Ticket Hotline: 800.838.3006

Tickets may be purchased online up to 1 hour before performance time on the day of the performance. Didn’t buy on-line in time?  Come down to the theater to check on walk-up tickets.  The box office opens one hour before showtime.

Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended as you'll get better seats and can use the express will call line at the theater.

Please Note: all sales are final and no refunds or exchanges are allowed.

Ticket pickup:

  • Will-Call (we recommend this method): Will-Call tickets are held at the box office for pick up the day of the performance.  Tickets may be picked up 1 hour prior to curtain time.  To pick up your tickets at the window, please present a valid picture I.D.
  • Print-at-Home Tickets
Upon completing your  online order, you will be able to print your ticket from your home printer for no charge. "Print-at-Home" tickets offer the greatest flexibility for making changes to your order, and potentially allows the option for a full refund for up to 12 hours.
  • These tickets will be shipped within 2 business days and should arrive within 6 business days.

Convenience Charge:
A $1.99 convenience charge is added to all tickets for the processing of your ticket purchase, this is collected by Brown Paper Tickets ("BPT").  Part of the reason we chose BPT to handle our ticketing is because of their reasonable convenience fees.

Performance Cancellation Refund:
If events outside of the theatre’s control (e.g., power failure, inclement weather) force the theatre to cancel a performance, we will issue the ticket holder an exchange for a future performance.

Lost Tickets:
In the event that a customer loses a ticket BTC will replace the tickets at no charge with proper customer ID.

Latecomers:
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the producers.

Seating Chart

Bridgeport Theatre Company is now in residence at Downtown Cabaret Theatre and is kicking off their 2011/12 season with "Hairspray"!  Nominated for 12 and winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, "Hairspray" is as inspiring as it is just plain fun! Featuring a talented cast of over 30 local singer/actors and a rockin' live band, this show is full of bouncy songs that will make both children of the 1960s and those born too late wish they could go back in time!

Jump back to 1960s Baltimore, where pleasantly plump Tracy Turnblad has big hair, an even bigger heart, and a huge dream to be a dancer on the Corny Collins Show. The story manages to be a riotous comedy that delivers an important message at the same time.
